Preservation Rhinoplasty: Closed and Open Approach and Revision Rhinoplasty 2024

In this video series, Dr. Abdulkadir Göksel performs five preservation rhinoplasty surgeries, including both closed and open approaches.

Moreover, he performs a join @jmedustudy hallenging case of revision rhinoplasty with alar retraction that requires rib and auricular cartilage harvesting.

Endoscopic views and drawings of surgical plans assist the viewer in understanding the techniques, in addition to Dr. Göksel’s clear narration of the procedures, including demonstrations of the harvest of rib, ear, and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) for grafting.

Each case provides a full presentation, from a preoperative assessment showing the patient’s presenting deformity and a simulated corrected view to detailed demonstrations of step-by-step technique and the placement of splints, drains, and postoperative dressings. Early postoperative results of each case are also included.

Case 5: Open Approach Limited Dissection Preservation Rhinoplasty With Subdorsal Flap:  Lateral crura caudal turn-in, lateral crura cephalic turn-over and turn-under, tip positioning with ligament fixation, columellar strut graft and medial crural setback, no dorsum dissection, PRF with diced cartilage

Case 6: Revision Rhinoplasty: Severe alar retraction repair, rib harvesting and oblique split method, rectus abdominis facia harvesting, composite ear graft for the alar rim, radix augmentation, nasal tip reconstruction, oblique septal splinting and extension graft
